Universal binary packages To install UGENE binary package unpack the archive and execute ./ugene -ui to launch UGENE GUI. By default ugene script launches the command-line version of UGENE.

UGENE is a part of official Ubuntu distributions. To install it type sudo apt-get install ugene. To install the latest UGENE from repository add our launchpad ppa to sources.list. To download and install packages manually use the links below: Ubuntu 10.10 (x86) Data and GUI packages Ubuntu 10.10 (x86-64) Data and GUI packages Also UGENE is a part of official Fedora distributions. Use sudo yum install ugene command to install it. To install the latest version wait for system updates or download packages manually: Fedora 14 (x86) Fedora 14 (x86-64)

Download package for MacOS X (x86) Download full package for MacOS X (x86) Beginning from March 2011 the PowerPC support is dropped. The latest available for PPC version is 1.9.1 (download). Please contact us if you are interested in obtaining the latest version for PPC.

The source distribution can be used to build UGENE on any platform with Qt4.7 and QtWebkit. Source distribution includes installer scripts for Windows (NSIS2), Linux (Ubuntu and Fedora) and MacOS X. The source code of UGENE is distributed under the terms of GPLv2. Download the source tarball
